Nursing staffing update
Recruitment pipeline
There are currently 72 Nurses and
16 Health Care Assistants awaiting
pre-employment checks and/or a
start date. This includes 16 student
nurses who will graduate between
April 2024 and June 2024. There is
one return to practice nurse, 13
registered nurses and we welcome
42 international nurses.

Our vacancy rate in nursing is the lowest it has been for a long time at just over 1%. This means there is less
movement between wards and teams, because we have better established teams. It also means we can think
about how we continue to reduce our spending on bank support. We really do hope you are all feeling the
benefit of this.
