Disability History Month 2024
Looking back...
Between 14th November and 20th December 2024 we marked Disability History
month with a series of engagement stalls for staff, an educational workshop on
reasonable adjustments and a communications campaign focusing on key workforce
priorities related to disability and shared a staff experience blog to highlight the
barriers that neurodiverse staff can face. All events were planned in collaboration
with the Trust's Positive Health staff network.
What is Disability History Month?
UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) is an annual event creating a platform to focus
on the history of peoples struggle for equality and human rights. 2024 will be the
fourteenth year and there has been a steady increase in interest and activity since
UKDHM began in 2010.
