These stalls were supported by members of the Positive Health staff network and it
was great to talk to staff about the network as well as the support available through
Thrive, Talking Therapies, Occupational Health, Employee Relations, Chaplaincy and
the Wellbeing Team. Over the next 12 months we will plan other ways to raise
awareness alongside our Positive Health network.
Communications campaign
Over the course of Disability History Month we shared a series of communications
with staff via the intranet, bulletin and staff Facebook pages to raise awareness of
different issues and resources to support staff. The campaign focused on 4 key areas:
• Disability definition awareness
• How to disclose disability to your manager or on ESR
• Reasonable Adjustments
• The Positive Health staff network
As part of this communications campaign, we also shared a video of Information
Assistant, Jacqueline Burr, talking about her positive experience of having reasonable
adjustments put in place and the support she received from her manager with her
disability. You can watch
Jacqui's video here.
Finally we shared an anonymous blog from a Neurodivergent colleague about their
experiences. You can read this blog here.
Reasonable Adjustment Workshop
On Tuesday 19th November we delivered a Reasonable Adjustments workshop open
to all staff on MS Teams. The workshop gives delegates a better understanding of the
reasonable adjustment process in STSFT and explores the tools we have developed to
support staff whilst explaining why reasonable adjustments are important. The
workshop was well attended with 20 people registering in advance.
